Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

To provide our AI assistant services, we collect and process:

  • Notes and text you enter into the app

Voice Data

When you use voice input features:

  • Audio recordings are processed to convert speech to text
  • Voice data is transmitted securely to our AI processing services
  • We do not permanently store raw audio recordings after processing
  • Transcribed text may be retained as part of your conversation history

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use Hugo:

Purchase Information

If you subscribe to Hugo Pro or Hugo Power:

  • Transaction identifiers from Apple App Store or Google Play Store
  • Subscription status and billing period
  • We do not directly collect or store payment card information

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate Hugo:

AI Processing

Your conversations and voice inputs are processed using AI services from providers including OpenAI and Anthropic. These providers process data according to their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements.

Infrastructure & Authentication

We use Supabase for database hosting, authentication, and real-time features. Your data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit.

Error Monitoring

We use Sentry to monitor app performance and errors. This includes device information, error logs, and crash reports to help us identify and fix issues.

Payment Processing

Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We do not have access to your payment card details.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in the app settings.

Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure authentication mechanisms
